Job Description
The Coordinator of Payment Services performs complex accounts payable functions and performs clerical functions independently to support the assigned responsibilities to the office and organization.
Reconciles assigned accounts and exercises judgement in assigned areas.
Essential Functions
Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.
Maintain a high level of customer service and provide consistent, timely and accurate service to departments.
Provide support to supervisor in training and providing guidance to team members to optimize performance including assisting in monitoring workloads to ensure timely completion of accounts payable activities.
Review, verify accuracy and prepare bills and vouchers for payment.
Prepare and process check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
Monitor encumbrances to ensure payments are timely and up to date.
Verify that transactions comply with policies and procedures.
Work with the team to resolve errors or discrepancies before processing payments.
Assist supervisor in preparation of reports and work on special projects.
Review and edit outgoing correspondence and other written material.
Work on special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills
Two year degree in accounting or business.
Relevant accounting or accounts
payable experience and college credit hours can be considered in lieu of
degree (Two years of experience for each year of college.
)
Five years recent experience in accounting or bookkeeping environment.
Prefer prior state experience with working knowledge of State laws as they
apply to the financial area.
Experience with Colleague and document
imagining systems a plus.
High level of commitment to customer service and teamwork.
Excellent multi-tasking, organizational and problem solving skills.
Proficient use of personal computer and software applicable to the work.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
