Internal Auditor

JOB The purpose of this class is to perform financial and compliance audits of county departments, courts, programs and or services.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Performs financial and compliance audits of county departments and courts.
Audits county departments for compliance with statutes and policy.
Conducts interviews with management and staff to determine current state and condition of internal controls.
Creates flowcharts and organizational charts to document workflow process to help identify control weaknesses.
Follows and completes an audit program detailing the specifications of the field work.
Research, gather, analyze, and evaluate audit evidence; perform accounting functions such as compilations, account analysis, reconciliations, and review of bank reconciliations.
