Position Summary
Pay Range: $16.
65 - $20.
61 Hourly The primary functions of this role are to assist with monetary reimbursements or collections for the Court, assist individuals to establish payment plans, and enforce established payment plans.
This position requires case flow management, production of judicial documents, scheduling court proceedings, reviewing of financial records, and customer contact.
Works within a well-defined framework of policies and procedures.
Job Description ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Conducts financial interviews and interprets court guidelines to attorneys and litigants as they relate to scheduling, notice requirements, and financial obligations Attends docket and court hearings to record and process judicial orders and directives and ensure the proper movement and appearance of defendants and witnesses to prevent unlawful detainment Provides comprehensive assistance, including establishing payment plans, enforcing payment plans, and explaining policies, guidelines, and standard practices, both verbally and in writing Enforces the Court's scheduled deadlines and maintains settlement records using the Case Management System Processes and disseminates billings to appropriate individuals regarding monies due the County using the Case Management System Prepares and issues garnishments on delinquent account cases; issues garnishment releases upon fulfillment of monetary obligation Manages License suspension program through DPS OMNI database for delinquent accounts Coordinates with TDCJ to track down incarcerated inmates and prepare garnishment procedures through electronic autopay Responsible for daily balancing of cash drawer and accepting payments of cash, check, money order and credit card Compiles monthly Cost Collection Report and tracks monthly bond log Provides service to general public, defendants and inmates, Judiciary staff, law enforcement agencies and attorneys in a courteous manner Regular attendance and timeliness are required EDUCATION: Required: High School Diploma or GED SKILLS ~ EXPERIENCE: Required: 1 year experience in an office or business administration Possess thorough working knowledge of clerical procedures General knowledge of basic arithmetic, algebra and statistics including add, subtract, multiply, divide, interest, decimals and percentages Must have working knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures, related to accounts and collections Ability to accurately sort, file, and retrieve material using alphabetical, numerical, or chronological systems Exceptional skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with County staff and attorneys, litigants, defendants, Court Administrative Office and other Courthouse office, judges, witnesses, police departments and the public Must also be personally bondable General knowledge of basic hardware and software and uses of a variety of different computer operating systems such as Microsoft Office Work, Excel, Outlook All Employees o Must be committed to achieving excellence in assigned duties, always in service of the county and community o Must have ability to earn and keep the trust of fellow employees and the community at large o Must be dependable as an encouraging force for team morale and in overall attendance o Must be approachable and ready to help fellow employees and the general public ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Work is performed mostly indoors in a climate-controlled facility PHYSICAL DEMAND REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear The employee frequently is required to stand.
The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to find, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms; stoop and kneel Must be able to safely lift 20 lbs HOURS / SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Regular schedule is 8 a.

to 5 p.
m.
, Monday through Friday.
This position may be required to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the facility.
