Job Title: The Reagan Program Director/Child Care Administrator Job Status: Full Time-Exempt (40-55 hours) Job Location: Waco, TX Job Summary: The Reagan Program Director/Child Care Administrator will be responsible for policy implementation and compliance, budget management, support efforts to ensure that The Reagan is well resourced, maintaining all required detailed records of staff and residents, supporting the House Director, and operating in full compliance with all state and county regulations and contractual agreements.
Compensation: Annual salary + benefits Benefits: Option of health insurance for employee and family, life insurance, and option to participate in retirement plan (3% salary match after 90 days with 1-year vesting period) Schedule/Availability: Monday-Friday 8:30am -5:30pm.
Availability on weekends, evenings, or holidays required when covering supervisory call for crisis response.
Working conditions: Work performed in normal office environment, residential home, or other professional environment.
Work duties may on rare occasions be performed in an environment requiring exposure to weather extremes, fumes, odors, and noise.
Travel: This position may require limited travel for training and team/professional development opportunities.
Job Responsibilities: Ensure full compliance with all state and county regulations and contractual agreements.
Oversee the onboarding process and ensure that all new staff meet the onboarding training requirements.
Create and maintain onboarding training checklist, including onboarding training on documentation.
Ensure all staff follow all policy and protocols including Unbound Now’s Abuse Prevention & Response Policy.
Implement Progressive Discipline policy when needed.
Update and train on policies as needed.
Research and stay up to date on all policy and programmatic requirements related to a General Residential Operation (GRO).
Work with all agencies involved in licensure and certification, including but not limited to DFPS/CPS and HHS Ensure relationship based, trauma-responsive, survivor centered services in collaboration with on-going system and service or investigation based case management.
Participate in service plan meetings as a member of the treatment team.
Recruit, screen, train, and manage volunteers and interns for The Reagan, including maintaining all required documentation, including background checks and initial and ongoing training requirements.
Observe and interact with staff, volunteers, residents, and other individuals, to ensure the quality of care for youth and program services.
Maintain detailed staff and volunteer records.
Documentation is done in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that new staff, volunteers, and interns are not left alone with youth until all required onboarding items have been completed and documented.
Ensure with HR that all items have been completed before scheduling new staff to work; ensure that all required documentation for new employees is uploaded to Bamboo before new employee engages with any youth.
Be able to provide data for programmatic grant reporting properly and in a timely manner.
Assess the home’s operations, program, and reporting and provide reports to Unbound Now Waco’s Executive Director, making recommendations to address identified problems.
Ensure the provision of planned but flexible program activities designed to meet the developmental needs of children.
Plan program activities a month in advance, communicating plan with the treatment team.
Provide 1:1 support to all youth within the home and document treatment plan progress.
Provide direction and overall management of the treatment program.
If problems arise, alert Unbound Now Waco’s Executive Director and follow designated reporting and notification protocols.
Comply with Unbound Now policies and code of conduct .
Participate in team meetings, staff training, and other collaborative efforts as needed.
Review surveillance video during week of on call rotation and document the review; alert supervisor if anything is questionable and preserve video footage.
Oversee House Director, including ensuring that all required documentation is completed in a timely manner by direct care staff.
Oversee or facilitate response to alleged incidents and grievances, including incident report and communication to staff, in collaboration with Unbound Now Waco Executive Director.
Ensure that all required documents, such as guardianship, are uploaded to Extended Reach prior to admission or discharge.
