BUSSER/RUNNER | JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
At Magnolia, the Busser/Runner is responsible for clearing and resetting tables, taking dishes to the kitchen, stocking bus stations, cleaning glassware, and pre-bussing tables.
The Busser/Runner will provide some general cleaning and maintenance of the floors and bathrooms.
This position will also assist the Dishwasher in maintaining the dish area and with trash runs.
The Busser/Runner will and can be designated to run food.
This position works from the Magnolia Table in Waco, Texas.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
• This position reports to the Assistant Front of House Manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
AVAILABILITY
• Full-time hourly availability only = 30+ hours per week, as assigned
• Available to work flexible hours as assigned, including weekends, special events, and holidays
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Uphold Magnolia’s mission, vision, and values
• Ensure the highest level of guest care, in line with Magnolia’s brand
• Work as a team player
• Carry out instructions of Front of House Manager
• Operate equipment safely and in line with best-use practices for each piece of equipment
• Respond to guest needs when possible and/or communicate to a manager to help facilitate guest needs
• Clean and reset tables in line with Magnolia Table process and procedure
• Help expo validate quality plates during the running cycle
• Run food to assigned tables with a sense of urgency
• Lay designated plates in front of designated guests according to the ticket, without “auctioning off” the plates
• Follow up at the table to ensure that the meal is complete and to standard
• Provide efficient response to any guest needs at time of delivery
• Contribute to a high-energy, fast-paced environment
• Help to maintain organization and cleanliness
• Adhere to standards of grooming, cleanliness, and sanitation
• Work and interact with others in a manner consistent with the Magnolia culture
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Food Handler's license required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee operates in a kitchen environment.
This role routinely uses sinks and dishwashers and tools to clean kitchen appliances.
Employees in this role as frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals and cleaning chemicals.
