Teller Essential Functions Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances Enters customers transactions into teller machine to record transactions and issues teller machine generated receipts Places holds on accounts for uncollected funds in accordance with Reg CC Orders daily supply of cash, and counts incoming cash Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer with actual cash count once a week in Teller Insight Balance the cash recycler under dual control.
Crash balances Teller Insight 4 days a week Explains, promotes, sells, or prepares products or services such as savings bonds, money orders, and cashiers checks Processes mail deposits under dual control Accepts loan payments and processes loan disbursement checks as needed Balances coin machine Accepts wire transfers Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Customer Service Representative Essential Job Duties Greets customers warmly, politely, and efficiently, maintaining a professional image at all times, providing timely solutions, and directing the customer to the appropriate person as required Interviews potential customers, utilizing customer identification program (CIP) Opens, handles inquiries, assists, and issues receipts regarding deposit accounts including but not limited to checking, savings, certificates of deposits (CDs), and individual retirement accounts (IRAs) Closes accounts following established procedures Opens safe deposit box accounts, logs customers, and follows prescribed procedures regarding access to the same Obtains required documents from customers, making copies, archiving, and preparing documents for timely imaging, and ensuring the same Confirms that new account exceptions are cleared in a timely manner Assists customers with Bill Pay, Mobile Banking, VRU, and Internet Banking Assists customers with the ordering of new and replacement Visa debit cards, answering questions, and initiating disputes as well as placing cards in hot status in the case of fraud, loss, or theft Completes the in-house ordering of debit cards for all locations.
If applicable, cards are printed in house.
Otherwise, the card order is sent to the CRS queue at corporate to print and mail Responsible for entering all new customer and account information on the core system as well as maintaining information for existing customers Utilizes Connections for account sales, calls, and follow-up Responsible for ordering checks and other supplies for customers Maintains and ensures that all visitors are logged in and out according to procedures Keeps up with on-going training and attends all staff meetings Complies with all Bank regulations Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of the Internet and Microsoft software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and sound judgment Excellent communication skills to include listening, speaking, and writing in all situations Ability to discern and effectively manage difficult or emotional customer situations; responding promptly to customer needs, while soliciting customer feedback to improve service Ability to inspire the trust of others, while working confidentially, ethically, respectfully, and with integrity, regardless of cultural differences Knowledge of safety and security procedures, reporting potentially unsafe conditions quickly Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Customer Service, Teller, and previous banking experience preferred Working Conditions May be required to either sit or stand for long periods of time May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.
