Off-Site Local Delivery Driver

Job Description: Neat Companies is searching for an Off-Site Local Delivery Driver for our Fairfield, TX location.

The successful candidate will complete the final mile delivery of farm & ranch related products for residential e-Commerce Direct to Consumer (D2C) and commercial Ship to Store (S2S) locations, along with normal store inventory deliveries using variable modes of equipment and conveyance.
Employee must be able to work independently, efficiently and safely with a passion for customer service.
Employee will be home most evenings, although occasional overnight trips could be necessary on an exception basis.
Duties: Receive daily dispatch instructions from facility supervisor each morning.
Ensure legal qualifications are met, including Hours of Service, Medical Examiners Certificate, and any applicable licenses.
Assist with the loading and securing of delivery vehicle/equipment, and ensure all product is accounted for.
Complete thorough pre-trip inspection of vehicle/equipment and note any defects on the Daily Delivery Inspection Report (DVIR).
Leave with ample time to complete deliveries safely and legally, notifying supervisor if any issues or concerns exist.
Complete delivery to correct location, validating all product is received and proof of delivery obtained.
Foster positive customer relationships, including delivery location preferences and receiving hours.
Report safely back to facility, ensuring all work and documentation is complete.
Complete post trip inspection and ensure vehicle and equipment are acceptable to return to service the following day.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements: High School or equivalent education Class A CDL required Experience in delivery / transportation a plus.
Must pass a driving test, drug test and obtain Medical Examiners Certificate.
Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
Maintain appropriate licenses, endorsements, and certifications for the job.
Must possess sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform the essential job functions, including the ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Willing and able to work in outdoor environment consisting of seasonal heat and cold, along with other outdoor elements.
