Principal Objective of Position:
Responsible for providing prompt, safe, and courteous transportation of guests.
To provide all guests with a level of service that exceeds expectations.
Essential Functions:
Greets each guest with a smile, offering to assist with their luggage.
Provides quick and pleasant guest courtesy, service, and satisfaction.
Follows all established procedures for Shuttle Drivers, including pre-trip inspections, designated routes, accurate record-keeping, and regular effective radio communication.
Maintains accurate familiarity with the general area to answer questions and provide helpful information to our guests.
Maintains a clean, pleasant, and calm environment inside the shuttle (including but not limited to, windows rolled up, company approved audio, interior lights on, no items on the dashboard, and no food in the shuttle)
Maintains cleanliness of shuttles interior and exterior at the end of each day.
Vacuum, wipe down seats, clean windows, etc.
Cooperates with all team members to provide the best possible service to all guests.
Respond to emergencys in an appropriate and timely manner in accordance with policies and procedures.
Observes safety regulations and state laws regarding vehicle operation; ensures guests also follow applicable safety regulations.
Complies with all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations and requirements governing, including the Department of Transportation.
Complies with all uniform and appearance guidelines.
Be a champion of exemplary guest service and teamwork.
Ensure understanding of all Book and Ladder policies, procedures, and expectations.
Ensure the Guest Experience is being exceeding and satisfaction amongst the community is met.
Other Responsibilities:
Collaborative with internal team, especially the General Manager and meet daily to ensure all operational needs are met.
Participate and attend required continuing education and in-service training sessions.
Ensure the stable and safe operation of the vehicle at all times and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws and ordinances.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
During school breaks the shuttle driver will maintain their employment status and assist the facilities team and/or office team, depending on the needs at the site.
Participate in Book & Ladder University as required.
Education and Experience Required:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
12-year experience in a driver position.
Excellent driving record as reported by the Department of Transportation.
Currently holds a valid drivers license applicable to the vehicle being driven.
Applicable state licensing and certification, if applicable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Ability to work weekends and on-call as needed.
Excellent driving skills.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Thorough understanding of traffic regulations, road signs, and routes.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Physically able to drive a vehicle for prolonged periods of time.
Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
