Baylor University: Office of the Provost: Hankamer School of Business: Accounting and Business Law Location Waco, TX Open Date Jun 28, 2023 Deadline Jan 26, 2024 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description The Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University invites applications for two (2) Assistant (tenure-track) Professor positions in Accounting and Business Law starting Fall 2024.
We invite applicants from all areas of accounting with qualifications to conduct high-quality academic research while contributing to the teaching excellence associated with Baylor University.

The Department of Accounting and Business Law: Accounting and Business Law, one of seven departments in the Hankamer School of Business, has a strong tradition of educating professionals who achieve positions of leadership in international organizations.
The Department is AACSB-accredited and offers three degrees - BBA, Master of Accountancy (MAcc), and Master of Taxation (MTax).
The flagship program is an integrated five-year curriculum that culminates in either the MAcc or MTax degree.
With the current trends in our discipline, the department incorporates data analytics throughout the curriculum, and graduate students can earn a Certificate in Accounting Data and Analytics while completing coursework.
The department has 27 faculty members, approximately 600 undergraduate majors and 115 graduate students.

Qualifications The position requires a Ph.
D.
or close to completion of the doctoral degree (ABD).
The ideal candidate will have an established or emerging research program that reflects the potential for ongoing thought leadership in accounting.
The applicant should be able to demonstrate their ability to conduct research that is theoretically sound and methodologically rigorous.
