We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to grow our team.
Our Legal Assistant will play an integral role in creating memorable experiences for our clients in person and over the telephone, while providing excellent support to our team.
This position requires empathy, experience, and skill.
This position will handle important duties related to direct attorney support, customer service, client retention, and case management.
We are looking for someone who always pulls for the underdog.
Who stood up to the bully at school (or at least wanted to).
Who gets upset when they see someone treated unfairly or being taken advantage of.
Someone who has a passion for ensuring justice is provided fairly to everyone.
Compensation:
$15 - $25 hourly
Responsibilities:
Interacting and creating and maintaining relationships with clients
Managing the firm calendar and scheduling court dates and appointments
Monitoring deadlines
Creating and editing documents and correspondence
Qualifications:
We need a competent and professional assistant who:
Smiles when you answer the phone
Conquers calendars, e-mail, spreadsheets, word processing, and the internet
Is positive and optimistic and does not live for drama
Is an awesome juggler of tasks
Can change gears quickly
Understands the importance of doing good work, and doing it on time
Can deal with a boss who is always busy, might not give much direction, might get distracted by new exciting things, and who hates dealing with admin stuff
Is not afraid to point out that you need more training or communication from your boss in order to get your work done
Treats a call at 4:30 on Friday with the same care and compassion as one on Monday morning
Knowledgeable and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Google office
Familiar with MyCase or similar technology is a plus
