Full Time Legal Assistant Needed

Do you want to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life every day? We are a central Texas law firm specializing in elder law, estate planning and special needs planning, seeking full-time legal assistant to join our Waco team.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Support attorneys and help our clients through the preparation of legal documents, correspondence, and government benefit applications.
Manage attorneys’ calendars, including scheduling client and professional appointments.
Work with court staff, government agencies, bank officers and other attorneys to help our clients.
You must have excellent grammar and writing skills and make a professional appearance through your dress and demeanor.
Other tasks as assigned, to assist the office and its clients.

A team player- is capable of working for multiple attorneys, assisting other legal assistants when needed, and helping where needed.
A strong communicator- has excellent grammar and writing skills, and the ability to confidently communicate with clients and professional contacts in person, writing and on the phone.
Detail oriented- organizational skills and attention to detail are very important.
Professional- understands importance of work and deadlines.
Presents in a professional way, and limits office distraction.
We love social people, but social media needs to be limited to lunch time and after hours.
Prior legal assistant or probate and guardianship experience preferred but not required.
Administrative experience a plus.
High School Diploma is required.
Training will be provided.
Salary will be offered according to experience, education and training.
Health insurance assistance is available after 60 days.
Paid time off is available.
401k is available after the first year of employment.
