JOB
Under direction, is responsible for reviewing, coordinating and preparing cases for mediation; oversees volunteer mediators; conducts informational and recruitment presentations; compiles and reports mediation statistics; and assists with mediation training programs.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Coordinates and implements case management functions for mediation programs by contacting clients, scheduling mediation sessions, preparing case folders and responding to client inquiriesAssists with the recruitment and screening of volunteer mediators; oversees volunteer mediators by establishing work schedules, overseeing mediation sessions, signing volunteer stipend vouchers and maintaining volunteer activity recordsCoordinates daily dockets for all mediation cases; reviews intake cases to determine suitability for mediation services; submits reports notifying the courts whether or not a case settledConducts community presentations and program exhibits to promote Center servicesConducts mediation sessions as required; schedules court ordered mediations and Victim/Offender mediationsAssists with the Center's Basic Mediation Training, Family Mediation Training, Children's Court Mediation Training, Advanced Mediation Training Workshops and other related activities, as requiredAssists with Bexar County Dispute Resolution Center (BCDRC) operation during evening hoursPerforms duties as required
