JOB
Under general supervision, is responsible for reviewing and accepting electronically filed documents; creating and maintaining Judgment NISI cases; determining and updating cause number, court assignment, and bond amount of all indictments, , and waivers of indictments and processing accordingly; issuing warrants and other services; scanning documents and monitors screen image to ensure proper recording; performing quality assurance on scanned documents and performing related duties as required.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Receives and reviews electronically filed documents to determine proper forwarding and processing criteria and accept or reject the filingsEnsures electronically filed documents link properly between the imaging system and docketing systemProvides case files and documents for both civil (NISI) and criminal cases by providing filing support for fifteen (15) County Courts-at-LawCreates and maintains misdemeanor Judgment NISI cases on forfeited bonds, calculates and collects fees for bond forfeiture judgmentsPrepares correspondence for all Bond Forfeiture cases to include the preparation of legal documents which may include setting letters, court orders, judgments, notice of judgments, requests for Abstract Judgments and Writs of ExecutionAnswers non-routine complex questions from the public, attorneys, bail bondsmen, and other Bexar County departments regarding criminal or civil (NISI) case informationCreates and maintains Judgment NISI cases on forfeited bondsDetermines the cause number, court assignment, and bond amount of all indictments and waivers of indictments and process accordinglyIssues warrants, summons, notices, and service of processExamines documents to be scanned for legibility and sufficient recording and indexing informationScans documents and monitors screen image to ensure proper recordingPerforms quality assurance on scanned documentsPerforms related duties as required
