Reports To: Executive Director of Institutional Advancement
Job Summary: Responsible for the Hill College development, processing, submission, and monitoring of all grant and external funding proposals.
This position, under the oversight of the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement oversees grant development processes, including management of the application process, coordination with campus and community stakeholders in the preparation and production of proposals.
Minimum Required Education:
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution; or a combination of experience and education that yields the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Preferred: Master’s degree English, Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
Minimum Required Experience:
Five years of experience related to post-secondary education Federal, State, or philanthropic grants.
Two years of experience supervising or coordinating team efforts.
Preferred: Experience in developing and writing programmatic proposals to governmental agencies.
This includes the development of narratives, budgets, timelines, and job descriptions.

Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for grant writing and managing the grant development process for Hill College.
Administers and manages a comprehensive grants and external funding system, working with institutional and external groups to promote grant projects.
Maintains regular contact with external network and funding agencies at the Federal, State, and local levels and markets the funding needs of Hill College to potential partners and funders.
Disseminates information about funding opportunities to faculty and staff.
Develops proposals and monitors the progress of proposals after submission.
Partners with the Hill College comptroller to set up grant budgets once funding is secured.
Writes or assists in writing final reports as required by funding source and ensures the timely completion of reporting.
Reviews RFA and RFP solicitations to determine fit for the institution.
Coordinates information and data collection needed for successful completion of grant opportunities.
Participates on behalf of Hill College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to gain rapport and support in the district.
Other Information:
Some evening and weekend work required.
Some travel required.
Serves on college committees, as directed.
