Yard Manager

*Job Description:* As the Yard Manager at Johnson Roofing, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the organization and management of our yard facilities.
You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the yard, coordinating the movement of materials, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously will contribute to the smooth functioning of our operations.
*Key Responsibilities:* 1.
Material Management: Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of roofing materials and supplies.

Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular inventory audits to ensure adequate stock levels.
3.
Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of yard equipment, including forklifts and delivery vehicles.
4.
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all yard personnel.
5.
Team Supervision: Provide leadership and guidance to yard staff, including training and performance management.
6.
Customer Service: Assist customers with inquiries and provide support in loading and unloading materials as needed.
7.
Facility Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the yard, including regular inspection and upkeep of storage areas.
*Qualifications:* - Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or roofing industry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in operating yard equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to yard operations.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in outdoor environments in various weather conditions.
