Sign On Bonus for Experienced SNF Accounts Manager.
JOB SUMMARY: The Accounts Manager's primary responsibility is to collect and accurately reflect accounts receivable of the facility.
EDUCATION: A High School diploma required.
Health care accounting and/or billing experience preferred, but not required.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have some accounting experience.
Must have computer skills.
Must be able to type and use other office equipment.
Will receive on-the-job training regarding proper handling of administrative matters according to formulated policies as well as offsite training at central accounting offices.
Has ability to work well with the general public.
Has ability to meet and deal with a variety of employees, residents and relatives.
Considerable initiative and judgment is needed in promoting favorable public relations.
Must be sociable, courteous and have a memory for details.
Must have a pre-employment and an annual Tuberculosis screening examination.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Handles resident billing and collection per prescribed procedures.
Records facility census information daily.
Attends daily and weekly facility-required meetings.
Is familiar with insurance coverage on residents in order to channel their medical bills and supplies.
Handles Resident Trust Fund duties as assigned.
Relates knowledgeable information regarding admission requirements and rates.
Is familiar with the admission folder and admission procedure for new admissions.
Enters pertinent information regarding new residents into the computer.
Has working knowledge of all office procedures and systems.
Answers the telephone as needed.
Assists Administrator in other duties as directed.

Administrative filing; running off copies on copier; faxing copies; delivering phone messages, delivering orders to doctor's offices and drug stores; delivering mail to department heads and residents 2.

Take in Administrative supplies; reload copier and computer with paper 3.
Lifting/Handling: Occasionally.
Restock office supplier, forms; store administrative records (Active and inactive); Range of weight: 1-50 pounds 4.
Carrying: Occasionally.
Carry administrative supplies to and from Administrator's office and storeroom; UPS packages to residents, employees.

Balancing: Frequently.
Moving supplies from one storage room to another, administrative file folders rom active to inactive and resident folders from active to inactive 6.
Pivoting/Turning: Frequently.
Stocking administrative and nursing supplies and forms.
Copying, handling records, file folders.

Storing administrative files, folders, supplies; inventory for administration 8.
Kneeling: Occasionally.

Answering phone, delivering phone messages, paging on intercom system conversing with residents as well as employees and family members; answering questions from employees JOB LOCATION: May work throughout all areas of the facility, including the administrative office and nurse's stations.
