Job Summary:
The Facilities Director provides work direction, supervision, and assistance for maintenance and custodial personnel involved in the maintenance, repair, and custodial work of parish facilities, school facilities, grounds, and equipment.
The Facilities Director reports directly to the Head of Operations and collaborates with the members of the school administration to ensure maximum efficiency in the use of parish and school resources.
Essential Job Duties:
Assures security and fire alarm systems are kept in good working
Maintains security of grounds and all buildings during working hours and is on call 24 hours for facilities emergencies and security issue
Analyzes and solves technical maintenance
Directs work involved in operating and maintaining heating and cooling systems and ensures that regular maintenance is performed at appropriate times, including scheduled maintenance as well as filter changes.
Maintains church and school
Maintains adequate inventory of the items most often needed during the course of regular maintenance of all facilities, including paper products, tools, and hardware.
Maintains a neat, orderly work area including offices and big and small maintenance
Along with Maintenance Specialists, performs general maintenance, cleaning, and repairs for facilities, equipment, and gro
Utilizes knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or heating and cooling skills in performing
Operates common hand or power
In consultation with the Pastor, Head of School, and the Head of Operations, may at times arrange contracts for some vendor/outside services, and oversee contractor jobs through to satisfactory
Serves as project manager for small to midsized facilities improvement projects when assigned by the Pastor or Head of School Operations.
