Director of Nursing

Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage all aspects of nursing operations within the facility - Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care - Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to coordinate patient care - Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Medicare and resident rights - Conduct regular audits and reviews of documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness - Monitor and manage the budget for nursing services - Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in nursing administration Skills: - Strong background in nursing administration and acute care - Knowledge of Medicare regulations and requirements - Experience in hospice care and end-of-life support - Excellent nurse management skills, including the ability to supervise and motivate a team - Understanding of anatomy and medical terminology - Attention to detail for documentation review Note: This is a general job description for a Director of Nursing position.
