What We Are Looking For
Baylor University is seeking a Senior Coordinator for Competitive Sports.
This position will provide robust opportunities for the Baylor Community in Intramurals Sports, Club Sports, and summer camps.
We are looking for someone with experience in organization of sports tournaments, events, and activities.
There is responsibility with risk management protocols, game management, official training and scheduling, and student staff supervision.
The ideal candidate would have a high energy level, administrative skills, and geared for fun.
A Master’s degree, three years of relevant experience, and an active Christian faith are required.
A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills preferred.
• Self-generated budget experience and oversight desirable.
• Experience programming and instructing various sport/fitness/recreation activities helpful.
• Experience with risk management implementations as well as tournament direction.
• Excellent leadership and administrative skills.
• CPR/FA Instructor certification desirable.
• Blood Borne Pathogens training desirable.
*All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Coordinate logistics of the Intramural Sports and Club Sports Programs including set-up, tear-down of fields & courts.
Manage staff of officials and game managers.
Assist with tournaments, officials, and scheduling
Conduct risk management assessments, document protocols & training.
Some travel to playoffs is required.
Coordinate Summer Camps including activities and staff counselors.
Serve as a point of contact for parents.
Coordinate logistics of special events.
Ensure summer camper safety, discipline, health and staff scheduling.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission.
Ability to comply with university policies.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
