Job Summary:
The primary function is to provide nursing care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, for patients of all ages in their place of residence, coordinates care with an interdisciplinary team, patient’s/client’s and their families, and referring agencies.
Share in on-call responsibilities.
Job Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of vocational/practical nursing.
Licensure: Active, state license as a licensed vocational/practical nurse, or a multi-state license issued by a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) member state.
Current driver's license.
Experience: One year experience as a licensed vocational/practical nurse.
Home health experience, preferred.
Skills: Nursing skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice.
Good interpersonal skills.
Proof of current CPR certification.
Transportation: Reliable transportation.
Valid and current auto liability insurance
Environmental and Working Conditions:
Works in a routine office environment.
Noise level may be moderately high.
The ability to work a flexible schedule and extended hours.
The ability to travel locally with some exposure to inclement weather.
Possible exposure to toxic materials, toner, etc.
Physical and Mental Effort:
Prolonged sitting and some standing required.
The occasional need to lift, pull, carry, and push weighing up to 50 pounds and move patients.
Frequent need to stoop, kneel, and reach while accessing files.
Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs, and to make quick decisions.
Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Requires excellent problem solving skills.
