Meet Turtle, a purebred Whiting True Blue Rooster (Cockerel).
He needs some love where there are no other roosters, but he's cool with cats and chicken-friendly dogs and maybe a couple of hens, but I think he's do fine as a solo chicken.
He's very timid, smart and is quite a personable chicken.
He was attacked, went totally blind and lost his ability to crow, while all the other roosters his age a fully crowing.
He has now fully recovered his sight, but he barely makes any noise at all! I have heard him quietly crow, but that's it.
He may find his voice sometime in the future, but for now, he just clucks and coos and he REALLY loves to be held.
