POINTWEST Bank is now accepting applications for a full-time experienced loan officer.
This position utilizes knowledge, training and experience to solicit, originate and facilitate the processing and closing of consumer and commercial loans and real estate transactions on behalf of POINTWEST Bank's customers.
*Key Responsibilities* * Our Loan Officers build rapport, analyze financial situations and determine the appropriate loan product for qualification.
* Extensive ability to make sound credit decisions through the analysis of financial statements, credit bureau reports and industry research.
* Ability to understand and interpret financial statements, tax returns, generally accepted accounting principles, and other business or consumer information.
* Consult with clients on loan options best suited for their needs.
* Promote best in class customer experience throughout the loan application process * Stay educated of industry trends and service as a knowledge source for clients regarding available loan products, services and guidelines.
* Submit a complete and accurate loan package to processing * Follow all applicable policies and procedures and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations related to area of responsibility.
* Maintain a professional image and standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
*Knowledge and Skills* * Proven successful lending sales experience (minimum 2 years).
* Banking Experience (minimum 2 years) * Business Development * Loan Origination * Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills (Bi-lingual fluency, a plus).
* Must have strong sales skills and closing techniques.
* Ability to take initiative and responsibility.
* Strong problem-solving ability with multiple systems and scenarios.
* Organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Great at following up with clients and other team members.
*Education / Experience / Certification / Compensation* * *Education*: Bachelor’s Degree Required * *Experience: *2+ years loan origination, sales, banking, and business development * *Certification*: Must meet NMLS requirements * *Compensation: *Based on proven lending performance and history All applicants must be able to prove work authorization for the United States, be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and are subject to periodic drug testing.

The history of placing trust in West Bank began! *1920 The West State Bank* The bank continued under stable management and was purchased by a group of local citizens and chartered as a state bank.
True to the bank’s values, it was managed with care and remained in excellent condition throughout.
*1934 The West National Bank *The bank applied for a national charter and established another milestone when the bank moved from its original site on Main Street to the present location on Oak Street.
The bank was central in the life of the community and was fondly known as “The Cotton Boll Bank.
” *1968 West bank & trust *Under new ownership, in a decision to improve the bank’s level of banking services, the Board of Directors unanimously approved the bank’s conversion back to a state-chartered bank.
Reflecting the diminishing influence of king cotton on the local economy, the bank’s logo was redesigned as a compass for emphasis on the new direction for the future.
*1991 West bank & trust* In search of continued growth, the Board of Directors voted unanimously to expand the service market of West bank & trust and open a branch in the growing community of Hewitt.
*2008 POINTWEST Bank* In the spring of 2008, the West bank & trust Board of Directors again voted unanimously to branch into the growing community of China Spring and to change the bank’s name to POINTWEST Bank.
*2018 POINTWEST Bank *celebrated its 125th anniversary along with other important milestones.
The majority ownership that began in 1968 celebrated 50 years of service, Charles J.
Nemec celebrated 25 years as President, the Hewitt branch celebrated over 25 years of service, and the China Spring branch celebrated 10 years of service.
*Today *The legacy of service points back to West Bank and the trust that was placed in that first safe in a general store in 1893.
And although over 125 years have passed since this bank was first chartered, and much in our world has changed, this bank, still under the same ownership and senior management since 1968, continues to move forward with new innovations and services while continuing to focus on personal service, handshakes, and smiles.
