RETAIL ASSOCIATE LEAD | JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY
At Magnolia, the Retail Associate Lead is responsible for assisting with the supervision of Retail Associates at the Take Away and Silos Food locations.
This position ensures the highest level of customer care to guests by providing assistance and information about Magnolia products.
This position works from Magnolia Table and Silos Food locations in Waco, Texas.
It reports to the Assistant Retail Manager and has supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Uphold Magnolia’s manifesto and values
• Educate guests by presenting and explaining the menu and answering questions
• Prepare and sell food and drink products by following approved recipes, preparation, and cooking or baking techniques; ensuring that all equipment is properly utilized per recipe and safety guidelines
• Provide feedback and assist with the training of Take Away & Silos Food employees
• Complete daily zone charts
• Coordinate with back of house to ensure product is prepared for Take Away & Silos Food employees to stock the product
• Oversee accuracy of to-go orders and the timeliness of tickets and adjust to-go order wait times to accommodate back of house needs
• Reconcile and prepare cash drawers, reconcile and balance the safe, compile change requests
• Monitor product stock levels of Take Away & Silos Food.
• Perform inventory duties including placing, receiving, and putting away transfer orders and participating in monthly inventory counts and inventory control procedures
• Ensure all products are finished to specific visual requirements in accordance with Magnolia standards
• Communicate with management regarding status of products, quality control issues, problems with equipment, or unusual conditions; adhering to established loss prevention and inventory control procedures
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and food safety standards
• Promote and maintain a safe working and shopping environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
• Soft skills: Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills; strong time management and prioritization skills; high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative; ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and organized
• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Experience: 2-3+ years of related work experience preferred
• Special training or licenses/certifications: Texas Food Manager’s License required
• General availability: Must be available to work flexible hours as assigned, including weekends, special events, and holidays as business needs require
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel; utilize fine motor dexterity of fingers; talk or hear and taste or smell.
The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
The employee is expected to utilize team lifting techniques when lifting bulky items or items weighing above 50 pounds and up to 120 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
