*Job description* Well-established Electrical Contractor seeking a Electrical Journeyman in the commercial and residential electrical service field.
Candidate must hold a current state of Texas journeyman license, pass a background check and drug test.
Competitive pay based on experience.
*Job Purpose:* Monitor installations and ensure work is performed according to Nemmer Electric, Inc.
/ NEI Datacom standards and project specifications.
Work cooperatively with the general contractor and/or customer in managing the project, project schedule and team members.
Responsible for maintaining productivity, safety, quality control, labor costs, scheduling, movement of manpower, procurement of materials and any other activities impacting the successful completion of the project, while maintaining compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes along with all the policies and procedures of Nemmer Electric, Inc.

Support activities at commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential locations.
*Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:* * Achieve Nemmer Electric Inc.
, / NEI Datacom productivity objectives by effectively managing and assigning tasks to crew members, while maintaining an accurate labor tracking log.
* Establish project goals and monitor success in reaching those objectives on an ongoing basis.
* Manage purchase orders and ensure ordered materials are received while adhering to bulk buy material procedures.
* Adhere to project contract document changes and Nemmer Electric Inc.
, / NEI Datacom policies and procedures.
* Fully utilize a prefabrication facility and company-wide installation methods and policies.
* Ensure the proper safety equipment, materials and tools are onsite to perform the required work.
* Provide Superintendent(s) with enough notice of any crew changes.
* Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues.
* Ensure crew members start and finish work shift on time; Maintain proper meal/break times as per Employee Handbook and as legally required per local labor laws and regulations.
* Conduct effective performance evaluations of crew members.
* Maintain complete and accurate “as-builts” as per Nemmer Electric Inc.
, / NEI Datacom procedures and project requirements.
* Communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals including project owners, architects, general contractors, management, crew members, etc.
* Ensure all work performed meets with NEC, federal, state, county, local codes and contract documents.
* Adhere to all Nemmer Electric Inc.
, / NEI Datacom, state, and federal safety policies and procedures.
* Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures included in the Nemmer Electric Inc.
, / NEI Datacom Employee Handbook.
* Be familiar with software programs including, but not limited to Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, Procore, and Bluebeam.
* Utilize new technology to perform daily tasks.
*Desired Skills, Experience and Education:* * A minimum of two years of field experience working as a Journeyman Electrician.
* Must hold a current Journeyman license with the State of Texas.
* Demonstrate the ability to effectively order and track materials, perform cost projections and develop “as builts”.
* Strong, first-hand knowledge and experience related to scheduling, material lead times, product knowledge and installation durations.
* Solid understanding of the electrical codes and installation methods.
* Well-versed in the installation of power systems: lighting, fire protection, security and data networks.
* Knowledgeable regarding the build, installation and maintenance of control panels.
* Comfortable utilizing Electrical Single Line blueprints.
* Experience in verifying the compliance and functionality of installations.
* Knowledgeable in the identification and repair of faults in electrical apparatus and circuits.
*Physical and Environmental Requirements:* (Physical/Environmental requirements could be repetitive throughout the standard workday, every day) · Must be willing to work overtime & weekends as job needs require · Safely lift 50lbs from ground up, pull 50lbs of force and lift up to 100lbs · Ability to safely climb ladders and push/pull wire and conduit · Physically capable of climbing, squatting, stooping, bending and/or kneeling while wearing a 25lb tool belt · Be willing and able to stand for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions · Must have the ability to do tedious work with hands such as grasping and/or manipulating wires · Ability to work off ladders, man lifts or boom lifts · Be able to work in high traffic and noisy work environments effectively and efficiently · Work in all weather conditions, such as extreme cold, snow, rain, hail, extreme heat, etc.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $29.
00 - $35.
