Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled jr Machinist/shophand to join our team.
As a jr Machinist/shophand, you will be responsible for maintaing, claning shop, learn to operate and maintain various machines.
This is a full-time position with opportunities for career advancement.
Duties:
- Learn to set up and operate CNC machines, lathes, and other equipment to fabricate parts according to specifications
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Learn to perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Learn to inspect finished products for quality and accuracy using measuring tools
- Learn to troubleshoot issues with machines and make necessary adjustments
- Learn to collaborate with team members to improve production processes and implement lean manufacturing principles
Experience:
- A plus but not necessary: Previous experience as a Machinist/shophand or in a similar role
-A plus but not necessary: Proficiency in operating CNC machines, lathes, and other machining equipment
- A plus but not necessary: Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles
- A plus but not necessary: Ability to use hand tools
