_*Monarch Mountain Minerals & Aggregates*_ , a Quikrete Company, is seeking a *Motor Grader/Blade Operator* at its Aquilla, TX Sand & Gravel operation.
*ONLY EXPERIENCED DOZER/BLADE OPERATOR WILL BE CONSIDERED.

This position is primarily responsible for safely and effectively operating a Motor Grader/Blade (Cat 140H size) for maintaining haul roads, reclaiming previously mined land, spreading top soil over reclaimed areas, pit development, building and shaping of earthen roads, and maintaining the yard and roadways.
Individual will perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and accurately complete daily mobile equipment reports; perform duties safely, responsibly and proficiently while observing all safety, health and environmental rules and practices; promptly report any unsafe conditions; maintain good housekeeping practices on equipment and in the plant.
In addition, this position will participate in maintenance, repair, and housekeeping activities, including other duties as needed or assigned by supervisor or manager.
*Responsibilities*
* Operates motor grader/blade safely and efficiently.
* Follows company regulatory, OSHA/TCEQ, and MSHA safety procedures and promote the company safety program.
* Wears protective clothing and equipment as necessary; hard hats, hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, harnesses/lanyards and other equipment as required.
* Performs routine pre/post inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers safety and mechanical defects or needed repairs to the supervisor.
* Understands technical operation of machine; slot cutting and proper steering of equipment when under a load.
* Capable of reclaiming property to allow for proper water (sheet) flow
* Performs general cleanup of equipment and yard.
* Assists with maintaining berms and roadways.
* Assists with plant maintenance and housekeeping.
* Shows up to work on time, daily.
* Works well with others in a team environment and communicates effectively and professionally with customers.
* Performs other functions and duties as required or directed
* Operate other Equipment as assigned
*Qualifications* \* Prior Motor Grader/Blade experience and MSHA training required.
* Ability to work independently in absence of supervision.
* Ability to climb stairs & ladders
* Ability to work well with others and adapt to a changing environment.
* Able to lift & carry 50 pounds.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
* Strong desire to work required.
*EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:*
High school graduate or GED is required.
A minimum of three years previous experience in operating Motor Grader/Blade larger than a Cat 140H at a sand and gravel plant is required.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Must have the ability to climb ladders and operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner; have knowledge and understanding of OSHA/TCEQ and MSHA rules and regulations; perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner; and possess hazard recognition skills.
*Work Environment*
* May be required to work outside in inclement weather conditions.
* Work environment is in a mine and manufacturing plant type setting, which may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, electrical components, dust, and elevated noise levels.
