Job Title- yard Rigger
Reports to- Production Manager
Job Summary:
Connect rigging for cranes to move panels form finishing area to storage area, or from storage area to load on Truck.
Essential Duties:
-Connect rigging in the safest manner possible for moving [panels from one location to another.
-inspect rigging for flaws or defects due to usage or damage.
-Inspect panels in racks for stable and secure dunnage
-Assist in filling sand hoppers an replacing acid totes as required.
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment
-Climbing up and down ladders to reach high places.
Required Skills/ Abilities:
-Ability to analyze heavy equipment malfunctions and apply
-Proven ability to diagnose and repair vehicles and follow safety instructions and directions.
-Proficiency with hand tools and other equipment.
-Excellent active listening, Problem -solving, and communication skills.
-Self-motivated, independent, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
Education and Experience:
-Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment of the trade.
-Detailed knowledge of the principles of internal combustion engines and automotive components, including auto electric, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
-High School diploma or equivalent, but not required.
-Above average mechanical aptitude
-Excellent mathematical aptitude.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, twist, and walk, must be able to use various hand tools or controls; reach with hands and arms' climb or balance on elevated surfaces; and stoop, kneel, squat, crouch or crawl.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Constant and continual medium to heavy manual, Physical Labor is required for this position.
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as work boots, hard hats, work gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
This is an indoor/outdoor work environment: Exposure to sun, heat, humidity, cold, eind, light rain, sand and dust.
