General Scope of Responsibilities:
Responsible for Human Resource related activities for hourly and salary associates at the site including benefits and health and safety support to site-specific and corporate initiatives; as well as supporting and troubleshooting miscellaneous administrative and customer needs.
The HR Generalist will report to the Site Leader at this location and coordinates with the North American VP of Human Resources.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Maintaining a high level of professionalism, positive attitude, and cooperation with fellow associates
Human Resources
• Conducts all areas of full-cycle recruitment (creates job postings, screens candidates, refers qualified candidates to leadership, schedules interviews, coordinates all employment screenings, assess results, and creates job offers).
• Facilitates new hire orientations and all onboarding activities.
• Initiates and manages employment processes.
• Understands and communicates AstenJohnson’s benefit programs and policies and assists with the benefit selection process in Dayforce.
• Provides intervention and assistance to associates when employment concerns arise.
• Advises site leadership, Office Business Team on compliance to policies and procedures.
• Advises and assists other departmental managers on interpretation and administration of personnel policies and programs.
• Provides instruction and assistance with Development and Performance Reviews.
• Participates in succession planning for key roles.
• Responsible for coordination of training activities both internally and externally to ensure company policies and procedures and applicable regulatory statutes are complied with, including maintaining training records for associates.
• Ensures compliance with legislation and regulatory statutes.
• Actively participate in establishing site handbook and policies
• Lead or actively support the implementation of corporate policies and program (Safety, D&I, sustainability, culture…)
Payroll
• Will be responsible for processing and running the payroll for all hourly associates at the site; Previous experience processing deductions, taxes, shift premiums, holiday pay, allowances, OT, etc.
is highly preferred.
• Maintains records for applicable reimbursement of safety shoes, glasses, health promotions, etc.
Health and Safety
• Participates in investigations of on-the-job injury incidents and lost time injury incidents.
• Ensures any limited duties or reduced work activities for associates are available (if appropriate and applicable).
Admin
• Serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the organization.
• Coordinates events for business, employee engagement and other purposes.

Preferable Position Requirements:

S.
Degree in a relevant field, such as Human Resources or Business Administration and 2 years of applicable experience OR 5+ years of direct Human Resources experience.
• Computer proficiency
• Knowledge and experience with HCM systems, particularly Ceridian Dayforce, highly desirable.
• PHR or SHRM certification a plus.
• Self-starter, self-motivated with a willingness to learn
• Organized, detail oriented, hands-on approach
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize the work load
• Positive attitude and team player
• Good communication skills - oral and written - Spanish is an asset
