WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Baylor’s Environmental Sciences department is seeking detail-oriented, analytical candidates for the Assistant Research Scientist Position.
The Assistant Research Scientist will have tasks related to both, administrative duties, and research duties.
A doctoral degree, two years of experience, and an active Christian faith are required.
Applications must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Managing orders and receiving deliveries
Arranging group meetings
Assisting monthly lab inspections/waste management requests
Communicating with ENV front office
Editing documents and maintaining SOP, biohazard, and SDS binders
Provide resources to new and current lab members
Update and manage the Sayes website
Create and conduct experiments for interdisciplinary research related activities
Apply relative skills needed to support complex research projects
Process and analyze results of experimental data
Perform complex analysis of data
Contribute expertise on writings and reports
Train and supervise employees in laboratory research
Assist faculty on planning, executing, and reporting funded research activities
Analyze and construct database applications and develop research ideas in support of university and department goals
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission.
Ability to comply with University policies.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
