What We’re Looking For
Baylor University is seeking a full-time Project Manager/Senior to join the ITS Projects and Governance team.
As a Project Manager you will provide effective guidance and leadership of institutional, IT Projects.
Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Understanding of the needs of a diverse student population within a Christian higher education setting and an openness to cultural humility.
Be successful communicating and interacting with all campus populations including students, faculty, and staff.
Flexible Hybrid work will be considered, on-site work is preferred.
A bachelor’s degree, three years of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required.
A master’s degree, PMP certification, and five years of relevant work experience are preferred.
A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full- time basis.
What You Will Do
Project Planning: Define project scope, goals, and create a detailed plan with timelines and resources.
Team Coordination: Build skilled teams, provide clear directions, and foster a collaborative environment.
Communication: Act as a central communicator between stakeholders, team, and clients, addressing conflicts.
Risk Management: Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans.
Quality Control: Set standards, conduct checks, and implement continuous improvement processes.
Scheduling and Time Management: Monitor timelines, adjust schedules, and optimize task prioritization.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain project records, generate progress reports, and capture lessons learned.
Client Interaction: Understand requirements, manage relationships, and incorporate client feedback.
Scope Management: Monitor project scope, manage changes, and prevent scope creep.
Closure and Evaluation: Ensure smooth project closure, conduct post-project reviews, and identify improvements.
Leadership and Motivation: Inspire teams, provide guidance, and lead by example with a positive attitude.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
