WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
This College of Arts and Sciences Office Manager specifically supports the mission by providing broad, complex, and confidential administrative duties for the CASA office.
Duties are directly related to CASA’s advising office and needs of the students, staff, and Deans within Arts & Sciences.
These duties include managing the reception area, financial duties, hiring, training, and supervising student worker.
Additional responsibilities include coordinating the appointment-making system, providing assistance to Assistant Directors, Associate Director, Director, Senior Director, and Advising Coordinator, assisting the CASA advising staff as needed, and serving as a central contact for all A&S advising questions.
The CASA Office Manager requires organization, attention to detail, and knowledge and implementation of a wide range of university policies and procedures.
A High School Diploma, 3 years of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required.
An Associate’s degree, 1 year of experience, and an active Christian faith are preferred.
A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
Applications must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Maintain reception area to serve as initial contact to students, parents and visitors.
Direct incoming communication via answering phones, retrieving messages from phone system, and maintaining the general CASA email account.
Provide administrative and clerical support to CASA Leadership, and collaborate with CASA Leadership to solve problems.
Manage budgeting and purchasing of office supplies, equipment, and facilities.
Process travel reservations and travel reimbursement claims.
Lead student employment by interviewing, hiring, train/supervise student employees, and review/approve student timecards.
Coordinate advising appointments in Baylor’s scheduling system, help all advising staff trouble-shoot appointment-making issues, assist students with scheduling appointments, and answer questions about appointments or advisors.
Create and update all content on the CASA website.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission.
Ability to comply with University policies.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
