What We Are Looking For
The Manager of Student Support position will support the mission of Baylor University in the Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences by managing student issues and academic records in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.
A Bachelor's degree, two years of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required.
A Master’s degree and four years of relevant work experience is preferred.
A combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Essential Functions
Manage and oversee the student support team for student success and retention
All students are contacted regarding their enrollment and academic requirements
All transcripts and documents for the academic and clinical programs are obtained from students
All student records are updated with LOAs, new Plans of Study, extended graduation dates, and program withdraws
Support student engagement events, newsletters, and media posts for academic and social outreach.
Manage and resolve (when possible) escalated student issues related to:
Program policies, rules, and procedure
Problems with registration and clinical schedules
Petition/waiver process
Other Baylor offices such as financial aid, registrar, and OALA.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission.
Ability to comply with University policies.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Secondary Functions
The position requires significant contact primarily with student support team.
Advanced knowledge is required in planning and completing assignments, resolving conflicts, and coordinating work for students completing their academic education experiences.
Demonstrates confidence in interpersonal communication and teamwork including ability to work independently and as a team member.
Demonstrates knowledge of correct business practices and correspondence including English grammar, composition, spelling, and punctuation.
