Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States.
We have a full-time, 1st shift Shop Supervisor position available at our Machine Rebuild Center in Waco, Texas.
The hours of the position are Monday-Friday - 6:30 AM - 5 PM.
Ability to travel up to 4 days a month.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrated alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaboration with key internal/external resources and 3) Ongoing self-development.
Job Description: This position is primarily responsible for oversight of Service Technicians, meeting production goals, and monitoring shop repairs and services.
Other responsibilities include work order review and management in a timely and accurate manner; communication daily with the Manager and other support staff about schedule and job status.
1) Provide accurate and timely daily updates on production and manpower available to the Manager to provide customer satisfaction and scheduling of new work.
2) Establish and mutually agree upon and communicate job expectations to internal and external customers to ensure customer satisfaction according to our mission and core business values.
3) Assist with the creation and review of quotes and projects to ensure a fair return on our company investment and provide a fair value to our customers.
4) Collaborate with Quality Control Specialist to review, monitor, and evaluate quality control standards for all jobs.
(Develop a standard of performance for all shop employees.
) 5) Create, Review and Maintain all Work Order Documents including Rebuild Project Documentation, Inspections, and Service reports.
6) Build relationships with Internal and External customers, consistently updating them on job progress and status.
7) Provide the Manager with machinery and tooling requests for capital budget consideration.
This information must include pricing and availability.
Qualifications: A qualified candidate must have the following skills or abilities: Minimum 5 years of shop repair and troubleshooting experience.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience highly desired.
Must have GED or High School diploma.
Must be proficient with computers.
(Excel, Word, Outlook) Must be a well-organized, thoughtful, and self-motivated person with good people skills.
Must be able to work the hours of the position which are 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM – Monday – Friday.
Occasional additional hours as required.
Must have a steady employment history.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Must be able to interact well with customers and fellow employees.
Must have a valid drivers' license.
Must be able to obtain a forklift license within 30 days of employment.
Ability to frequently reach, bend, walk, etc.
Able to stand for extended periods.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy required.
Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Must be highly organized and have excellent attention to detail.
Must have excellent attendance and work performance.
Must be self-motivated with a high commitment to completing tasks promptly.
