What We Are Looking For
The Assignments Associate provides clerical and customer service support needed for the management of student housing assignments in the department of Campus Living & Learning (CLL).
The Assignments Associate serves as the first point of contact for the CLL office, reports to the Senior Coordinator for Housing Assignments, and works closely with a team of Assignments Associates to implement the housing application and assignment processes.
This position provides service and support for current students, prospective students, and parents.
A significant level of organizational and customer service skills is required, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
A high school diploma, three years of relevant work experience, and a Christian faith are required.
A Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant work experience are preferred.
*All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Greet, assist, and direct students and staff who enter the Campus Living & Learning (CL&L) office
Answer student and parent phone calls regarding Baylor’s on-campus housing
Respond to emails in CL&L's living@baylor.
edu email account
Implement strategies to proactively encourage students to live on campus
Receive and direct staff arriving to CL&L Office for meetings
Input and organize data related to housing applications, housing assignments, and room changes
Support the Senior Coordinator for Housing Assignments in handling correspondence regarding housing applications, room selection, and housing assignments
Maintain housing records including floor plans, cancellations, contract release requests, and residency exemptions
Assists with implementation of key departmental processes including Re-Application, Roommate Matching, Choose Your Own Room, and Hall Waitlists
Input approved animals and accommodation requests for OALA Housing
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
Ability to comply with university policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
