Looking for an experienced Director of Nursing.
*Job Description* We are hiring for a Director of Nursing for our 138 bed Medicaid/Medicare certified Skilled Nursing Center.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a DON, RN with experience as a Nursing Supervisor or DON in the Nursing Home environment to become associated with this beautiful, family owned well respected facility.
The primary responsibilities of this position will be to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility.
Desired candidate will have a strong understanding of Skilled Nursing facility regulations and Board of Nursing practices.
The ideal candidate will develop, maintain, and update the Nursing Services Procedures manual, and work collaboratively with many multi-disciplinary teams.
*Qualifications*
* Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
* Management, Teamwork and leadership experience is necessary for success in this position.
* Must be organized and have the ability to communicate effectively with residents, their families, medical personnel, and facility staff in a confidential and professional manner.
