What We’re Looking For
The TIP Development Advisor - Part Time will support the mission and vision of Baylor University through work supporting the TIP program.
This position is temporary with possibility of extension.
A Bachelors degree and one year of relevant work experience are required.
A Masters degree and three years of relevant work experience is preferred.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Contact family that has purchased advising services within 24 hours of being assigned, using communication template provided by TIP and an official Baylor email account; copy your Baylor supervisor on every email correspondence sent
Set up virtual appointments with families on days that work with their schedules; these appointments will likely occur on evenings or weekends and must be conducted via Baylor's Zoom or Teams account
Utilize the advising documents provided by TIP to guide the conversations of each meeting
Be a positive advocate for the student at all times
After each meeting, log the time, meeting notes, and action items on the record document provided by TIP
Send a follow-up email to each family after each meeting, using the template provided by TIP
Follow all policies established by TIP and Baylor University
Complete all required trainings and job-specific assignments prior to working with students
Engage students in the content by utilizing best educational practices
Assist students in identifying and understanding their talents and college/career goals
Actively supervise students to ensure their safety and well-being
Adhere to and enforce all safety and risk management policies
Collaborate with Center leadership team to resolve any student disciplinary issues or concerns in an appropriate manner that aligns with the Center’s mission and policies
Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
Complete all tasks required for effectively closing the assignment (submitting student evaluations, returning supplies that belong to Baylor, reporting any property damage that occurred during the activity, etc.
)
Perform other related duties as assigned.
