What We Are Looking For
Baylor University is seeking an Investigator for Equity, Civil Rights, and Title IX that will work directly with our students as well as faculty and staff members, and is responsible for investigating allegations of policy violations under the Civil Rights Policy as well as the Sexual & Interpersonal Misconduct (SIM) Policy, and reports to the Director of Equity, Civil Rights, and Title IX.
A Master’s degree and an active Christian faith are required.
An Master’s degree with two years of relevant work experience is preferred.
A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Develop and implement investigation plans for each assigned investigation
Utilize a case management database to organize and manage investigations
Conduct thorough, timely, and unbiased investigations; develop reports with all related and relevant case facts
Develop an in-depth understanding of the Civil Rights and SIM Policies in order to evaluate the nature of complaints and appropriately investigate the implicated issues.
Collaborate with the Director and Title IX Coordinator and other University departments to manage investigations and ensure efficient and effective responses to complaints
Stay abreast of regulations and statutes relating to civil rights discrimination and gender-based violence
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
