What We’re Looking For
The Housing Systems Analyst role works within the IT Student Systems group to support the mission of the University by providing complex system support that includes maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting, vision, leadership, and comprehensive management of all Campus Living & Learning (CL&L) housing technology systems and services.
The position will work in close collaboration with CL&L’s Associate Director for Housing Administration by providing technical support and training to CL&L staff and partnering with University constituents.
A Bachelor's Degree, two years of relevant experience and an active Christian faith are required.
Up to five years of relevant experience is preferred.
Work will be performed in an approved remote / hybrid work environment that may include travel to Waco for on-campus/in-person activities/meetings as required.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do Housing Systems – 70% Provide vision, leadership, and comprehensive management of StarRez Web and MyHousing Portal.
This work includes support and development to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and excellence of the software.
Configure and maintain APIs between StarRez, Banner, Slate, CS Gold, and Facility Management systems.
Research emerging housing technology trends.
Develop and maintain an educational model identifying and addressing CL&L housing system needs.
Recommend and implement new technologies to improve the residential experience.
Document CL&L’s technical processes.
Offer query and reporting support within StarRez Web.
Utilize CS Gold (campus card management system) to assist in managing access to CL&L’s residential communities in partnership with the Senior Coordinator for Communications and Access.
Manage CL&L staff access to Maxient (student conduct) system – add and remove users, ensure correct staff are notified on reports, and maintain reporting structure.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission Comply with university policies Maintain regular and punctual attendance Support & Training – 15% Provide training for the ongoing development and implementation of CL&L housing systems to professional and student CL&L staff.
Be available to evaluate and respond to housing system outages, system access needs, and other systems related issues Participate in relevant divisional and departmental meetings, trainings, activities, and initiatives.
Technology Liaison – 15% Serve as the liaison between Baylor’s ITS and CL&L on housing initiatives requiring Baylor ITS implementation, support, and governance.
Represent CL&L at the campus Technology Director meetings.
Preferred Skills: Five years of relevant experience is preferred.
Demonstrated working knowledge of StarRez, CSS, CS Gold, Qualtrics, and Canvas.
Experience managing software system change and maintaining user security Knowledge of data analytics in web management space.
The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $65,000 - $70,000.
The full salary range for this position classification is $51,569.
