What We Are Looking For
The Armstrong Browning Library & Museum Host reports to the Event Manager and ensures that visitors to the Armstrong Browning Library & Museum (ABL) are greeted, welcomed, and enjoy a safe, secure, and informative visit.
In support of Baylor’s Christian mission, we invite those active in their faith community through a church, parish, or synagogue to apply.
A high school diploma and one year of relevant experience are required.
An associate's degree and three years of relevant experience are preferred.
*Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Attributes :
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems in order to be successful in the role.
Required hours : Ability to work consistently Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 1:00pm with occasional evening and weekend hours.
What You Will Do
Greet visitors and give tours of the ABL
Maintain awareness of and assist with scheduled events in the ABL
Answer the telephone, transfer calls, and take messages
Assist supervisor by overseeing student workers
Notify supervisor and/or facility services of maintenance issues
Stock and cashier in the gift shop
Relieve supervisor by managing weekend or evening events in the ABL as assigned
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
