The Laboratory Technician II, Chemistry supports the manufacturing process of RX and OTC
pharmaceutical products in Waco by performing sample and complaint testing login, coordination of
outside contract laboratory testing, cleaning, washing and storing of glassware used in the
Chemistry laboratory and preparation of mobile phase/test solutions to be used by analysts, as well
as other tasks as assigned.
· Cleaning and storing beakers, Erlenmeyer flasks, volumetric and calibrated glassware, pipets,
burets, and other laboratory glassware.
· Performs all tasks per SOP’s, cGMP’s and GLP’s.
· Maintains cleanliness of materials and Lab.
· Responsible for logging in samples and maintaining sample inventory, and preparing samples to be
sent out for testing, as required.
· Logging and inventory of complaint and/or stability samples.
· Works effectively with chemists to complete special sample analyses as required.
· May be called on to stock reagents, standards, solvents, or other supplies for the laboratory.
· Other duties as assigned.
Internal requirements include compliance with ethics, environmental health and safety, financial,
human resources, cGMP procedures, general business policies, requirements and objectives.
The
incumbent must be willing to take temporary assignments as required.
Regulated Responsibilities (including cGMP and EHS)
Incumbent is expected to be fully compliant with all criteria established by governmental agencies,
Ministry of Health, and legislative requirements including, but not limited to: the FDA, European
Community (EC), ISO 13485 - Medical Devices, European Economic Community Medical Device
Directive (MDD), Canadian Medical Device Regulations (CMDR), OSHA, Sarbanes-Oxley, EPA,
DOT, EEOC, and ADA.
