Job Description: Emergency Medical Technician
Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls and provide medical assistance to patients in various settings, including emergency rooms (ER), ambulances, and other healthcare facilities.
- Assess patients' conditions and administer appropriate medical treatments and interventions.
- Perform basic life support (BLS) procedures, such as CPR, bandaging wounds, and immobilizing fractures.
- Safely transport patients to medical facilities while providing continuous monitoring and care during transit.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other EMTs, to provide accurate patient information and ensure seamless care transitions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, treatments, and interventions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to protect both patients and healthcare providers.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
- Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in high-stress situations.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform heavy lifting and maneuver patients safely.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
