The Certified Medical Assistant will assist the licensed medical provider in multiple clinical, surgical, and aesthetic settings.
The CMA must be able to provide safe, knowledgeable, and compassionate individualized care to all patients.
The CMA position requirements are: *Duties and Responsibilities* • Serve as a patient advocate while assisting the medical provider during patient exam and treatment.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and record patients' medical history, medications, allergies, vital statistics and other pertinent information such as laboratory and radiology results into the medical records.
• Responsible for all medical documentation in the role as scribe for the medical provider.
• Escort patients to examination rooms, procedure rooms or operative rooms and prepare the patient for the medical provider.
• Ensure proper consent forms are signed by the patient prior to treatment.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by the medical provider.
• Explain treatments, surgical procedures, medications, wound care instructions and other medical providers' instructions to patients.
• Assist medical providers to examine and treat patients during surgery, perform injections and remove sutures as directed.
• When delegated by the medical provider, escribe medications, authorize medication refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
*Required Experience* • Certified Medical Assistant with 1 year dermatology experience, preferred.
*Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirement* • Thorough knowledge of medical terminology • Knowledge of sterile technique, anatomy, and medications • Professional attitude and reliable work ethic • Management and organizational skills • Effective verbal & written communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills to support patient care and team collaboration • Experience with computer and tablet applications • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook • General understanding of HIPAA guidelines • Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position' ' Work Remotely * No Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.
