Certified Nursing Assistant
We are looking for a dependable, compassionate, and reliable caregiver to provide care to a dementia client in Whitney, Tx.
Locaction: Whitney
Full time position with mandatory overtime 47 hours every week
Must have some weekend required availbility.
MUST have a valid drivers license
Must have a CURRENT TB skin test
Must be able to pass a clean background check
Must have at least 1 year of experience
Duties:
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or other special needs
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document administration accurately
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up living areas
- Provide companionship and engage in social activities with clients
- Follow all HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses or social workers, to coordinate care
Skills:
- Experience in dementia care and working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety precautions
- Familiarity with vital sign monitoring and documentation
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of client confidentiality
- Ability to provide compassionate care and maintain a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
- Excellent organizational skills to manage schedules, medications, and daily tasks efficiently
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules of clients
