*Position Overview:*
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Outdoor Sales Associate to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, knowledgeable about outdoor activities, and eager to assist customers in finding the perfect gear for their adventures.
Working closely with the Outdoor Manager, the Outdoor Sales Associate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service and maintaining the high standards of The Bear Mountain.
*Responsibilities and Duties:*
* Provide outstanding sales-oriented customer service, both independently and collaboratively with other staff members.
* Ensure that customer service meets The Bear Mountain's standards, including timely and accurate product check-ins, and maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting store environment.
* Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, technological advancements, and industry trends to better assist customers.
* Educate customers on the features and benefits of our products, offering expert advice and guidance to enhance their outdoor experiences.
* Assist customers in selecting the right gear for their specific needs, preferences, and skill levels.
*Qualifications/Requirements:*
* Strong understanding of a variety of outdoor activities, such as hiking, camping, fishing, cycling, skiing, climbing, etc.
* Ability to quickly learn about different outdoor products and effectively communicate their features and benefits to customers.
* Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of providing a positive and memorable shopping experience.
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task management.
* Previous retail or sales experience preferred, but not required.
* Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
